As of May, 2022, VMware licensing for ICS users has been suspended as VMware has shifted educational software provisioning.

The new licensing model mentioned in the above discussion, D2L Brightspace, is currently being reviewed, but there is the possibility that VMware may not be as widely available in ICS as was previously provided.
Users with an existing license from the previous provider, Kivuto, should remain valid until the listed expiration of their key in VMware.
60-day Evaluation Licenses
As mentioned near the top of the 2nd page of the linked VMware discussion, it is advised to use the 60-day evaluation licenses during the transition.
