Cybertron Updates
SYSTEM: Cybertron and Unicron Network Appliance Filers

Reason: Firmware upgrade. Upgrading OnTAP8 to the latest version.
Affects: There is no downtime associated with this work, however a small number of users may experience degraded performance on home or extra directories.
Named Server Update
SYSTEM: ns1.ics.uci.edu ns2.ics.uci.edu
DATE: 1/4/2018
START TIME: 2:30pm
DURATION: 10 minutes
Reason: Con added ns6.service.uci.edu into production. Since it didn't allow internal view, our lookup to uci.edu domain would go to the root domain and hit their external view dns servers and have an odd result. Adding forwarding zone for uci.edu to lookup from ns1.service and ns2.service resolves this issue for lookups internally.
Affects: Users should not notice any difference. It should stabilize lookups to uci.edu.
Linux Security Updates
SYSTEM: All Intel Base Linux Hosts

Reason: Operating system updates are required to patch significant security vulnerability on ALL intel based computers.
Affects: Users will see intermittent downtime on all hosts and related services throughout the maintenance window.
Vagrant Update to 2.0.1
SYSTEM: All systems where the Vagrant Package is installed.
DATE: 1/3/2017
START TIME: 1300
DURATION: 2 hour
Reason: Routine update to the vagrant package in order to install compatibility with latest VirtualBox package.
