2020 Winter Maintenance Notifications
Downtime Notice: Openlab Hermod/Odin/Velox
- Date: 3/27/2020
- Start Time: 0800
- Duration: Approximately 2 hours
- Reason: The latest security and kernel updates will be installed on each host. After installation, hosts will be turned off for about one hour to rewire power and networking for the hosts.
- Affects: All services on each host including SSHD, Slurm, and SGE.
Downtime Notice: Openlab Circinus Hosts
- Date: 3/23/2020
- Start Time: 0800
- Duration: Approximately 8 hours
- Reason: The latest security and kernel updates will be installed on each host. After installation, hosts will be turned off for about one hour to rewire power and networking for the hosts.
- Affects: All services on each host including SSHD, Slurm, and SGE.

- Reason: The system has suffered some catastrophic failures requires a complete rebuild.

- Duration: Approximately 4 hours
- Reason: The system has suffered a disk failure.
- Affects: Any home or extra directories residing on the host will be inaccessible.
